It's a Sodium Ion Battery
Scott Clark of Aeson Power will be giving us a presentation on this new battery technology and will be offering an opportunity for a Member to trial a sodium ion battery in their car and give it a flogging for 3 - 6 months.
This could be for road or track purposes.
Then, the member would be required to provide an article detailing their experience with the Battery in a subsequent issue of Super Star and anywhere else that they want to publicise their experience.
Aeson Power will offer technical support throughout the trial.
At the end of the trial the test pilot can choose to keep or return the battery.
How will we decide who should have the opportunity to test a sodium ion battery?
I don't know. But one thing I do know is that, unless your mailing address is > 50 km from Brisbane CBD, you will need to register for, and, attend the meeting.
If you consider that you would be able to give a sodium ion battery a good flogging over 3 - 6 months, send an email to Adrian Coyne - meetings@mbcq.com.au detailing your reasons.
Sorry, I don't think that this offer extends to EV owners (at least, not for their EV).
