This month we are honored to have as our Guest Speaker Mr. Dean Prangley, Trustee of the Newstead House Trust, and the Immediate Past President of the Royal Queensland Historical Society.

Dean will present a PowerPoint Show of "Early Motoring in Queensland", starting in 1850 with Horse-Drawn Vehicles, the first Motor Cycles in 1895, the first car in Brisbane in 1901 and continuing on with Highlights of Motoring through the 1930's.

In addition to his interest in Queensland History, Dean is an enthusiastic car collector. Amongst his fleet he has the following vehicles:

1921 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost
1935 Alvis Speed 20
1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud

and, his daily driver is, of course, a Mercedes-Benz.
