Meet and Greet

Meet and Greet at Lions Park on Jabiru Island between the two bridges on Oxley Drive, Paradise Point.  Drive to the South-East corner of the park where the usual amenities are available.

We will leave the park at 11am for the run through the cane fields to Calypso Bay and our lunch destination - Harrigan's Tavern.

The Route from Jabiru Island

On exiting the Jabiru Island park, turn left onto Oxley Dr/State Route 4

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Oxenford Southport Rd/State Route 4

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Oxenford Southport Rd/State Route 4

At the next four roundabouts, take the 2nd exit and stay on State Route 4

Use the right 2 lanes to turn slightly right

Merge onto M1

Take exit 38 towards State Route 96/Jacobs Well Rd/Yatala (North)

At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Stapylton Jacobs Well Rd

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit

Continue onto Stapylton Jacobs Well Rd

After about 9 km turn right onto Norwell Rd

Continue onto Pimpama Jacobs Well Rd

Turn right onto Huth Rd

Continue onto Harbour Blvd

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Harrigans Lane

For those travelling from the North

Rather than driving down the M1 to the Hope Island Exit and then to Jabiru Island, members may want to take the Jacobs Well Road\Yatala North Exit and if you want to join the convoy for the drive through the cane fields, plan on being at the Gem Hotel at 287 Stapylton-Jacobs Well Road before 11:15.  Alternatively, after exiting the M1, follow the above instructions that are in italic font and drive directly to Harrigan's Tavern.

Returning to the Gold Coast

After going through roundabouts drive straight along Huth Rd.to main road, turn left onto Jacob’s Well Rd.

7km turn left onto Pimpama Jacob’s Well Road. Follow Gold Coast signs.

At roundabout 2^nd exit, cross lights to roundabout Take 2^nd exit to next roundabout then take 2nd exit (follow signs) to M1 south to Gold Coast.
