At 11:45, we will depart from Sir Llew Edwards Park and continue along Kingston Road, then right onto Ripley Road, taking the second exit from the first roundabout and the third exit from the second round about to re-join the Cunningham Highway in the direction of Warwick.
After about 10 km, take the RAAF Amberley exit and then the first right onto the Southern Amberley Road.
We will have to stop at the RAAF Base Amberley Pass Office to be issued with passes to enter the base.
We will then go on an escorted tour of the RAAF Amberley Heritage Aviation Center, during which we will be able to get up close and personal with the aircraft displays and learn about the rich past of our military.
See the striking F-111 renowned for its dump and burns, the scale of the Dakota and the Caribou responsible for transporting people and cargo all around the world, or imagine the wind beating down from the rotors of our Blackhawk, Iroquois and Sioux helicopters.
To be issued with a pass to enter the Base, the same photo ID will need to be presented at the RAAF Base Amberley Pass Office on the day.
