Currumbin (South bank of Currumbin Creek at West end)
Gathering from 9:30 am for 10.30 departure to the House of Gabriel cafe.
There is some covered seating there, public toilets & adjacent coffee shops to enable us to socialize & to obtain the briefing on the trip.
Directions to Meeting Point
From Brisbane: turn off M1 at Exit 93 (Currumbin/Elanora) and turn left then approx. 200m along to large roundabout, turn at 3 rd exit past school & over small bridge. Left at the intersection into Duringan St. 1st left entry into WINDERS Park.
For Gold Coasters: suggest GC highway through Palm Beach & turn right at lights before the big bridge over Currumbin Creek. Turn left at Roundabout past Currumbin school and then as above.
The Run
Exit park right onto Duringan St, through lights straight out along Currumbin Creek Rd. Approx 10 kms turn Left onto Tomewin Mountain Rd (towards Murwillumbah). We then have approx. 30 kms over the scenic ranges, before reaching the Tweed Valley.
Then..
Turn Left onto Dulguigan Rd (to Nth Tumbulgum) for approx. 10kms then right, at Terranora Road, across bridge, the a quick right at the T junction into Riverside .The Cafe is on the corner of Riverside and Fawcett St. 106 Riverside Drive, Tumbulgum

The Lunch :
Fixed starter: Freshly baked focaccia, olive tapenade, tomato Salsa
Alternate drop mains.
Italian Chicken Salad - crispy breast, caponata vegetable salad, balsamic dressing
House smoked beef brisket burger - pickle slaw-chips- Gabriel's BBQ sauce
$35.00 per person….Payable to the venue on the day.
Chef needs RSVPs by Sunday the 12th of February.
The venue is Licenced and a cash bar is available.
Located opposite the Tweed River with plenty of parking
Remember we have reserved for approx. 12.30 NSW time (11:30am Queensland time)!! Hence the earlier departure from the Meeting point.
After lunch you may consider heading to Tumbulgum back to Murwillumbah with options back to the GC OR turn left over the bridge to work your way (10 mins) to the M1 marked back to Tweed Heads.
