Chinchilla Long Weekend
Friday 19th to Monday 22nd of August
Accommodation charges have stayed the same as last year, but the meals have gone up a little. Friday 19th August - Brisbane to Chinchilla Approx distance 270klm.
Approx traveling time (without Stops) 3hrs. Meet at Goupong Park, Namatjira Drive, Collingwood Park UBD Map 216 A12 for a 10.am departure. We will travel on the Warrego Hwy to PB Westbound Truck stop Charlton 10783 Warrego Highway Charlton. For a lunch break can be either a BYO lunch or purchased at the café. 12.30pm departure Warrego Hwy west passing through Oakey, Dalby and Chinchilla. Time your arrival at Chinchilla Great Western Motel, 52-62 Warrego Hwy, Chinchilla Qld 4413 (Ph (07) 4462 8288) for approx. 3.30pm - 4.00pm.
5.00pm - Pre Dinner drinks and nibbles at the poolside.
6.30pm - Buffet Dinner at Hotel
Saturday 20th August -Breakfast at Hotel, Chinchilla Autoshow 9.00am As guests of the Chinchilla Car Club, we are invited to present our cars for showing at the Chinchilla Primary School Grounds, Cnr Middle and Colambra Streets. The cars will be on show until approx.. 2pm. Refreshments will be available at the grounds. Members are reminded to bring their picnic gear on the day.
5.00pm - BYO cheese and drinks - at the poolside area.
6.30pm - Dinner Restaurant - 2 course alternate drop
Sunday 21 St August. Breakfast at the Hotel. Local Activities organised by Rhonda and Keith Bruggeman- yippee!! Inc Sausage sizzle at the weir.
5.00pm - BYO Drinks and nibblers at the poolside area.
6.30pm - A Night at the Museum and Spit Roast Dinner.
Monday 22nd August - Breakfast at Hotel Chinchilla to Home.
After a memorable weekend, either continue your journey elsewhere in regional Queensland or return home. Safe Journey.
