Weekend Run
The Ghost Train Drive
October Saturday 9th - Monday 11th
We will be visiting Boolboonda Tunnel on the way to Gayndah. Boolboonda Tunnel is an abandoned heritage-listed railwaytunnel at Tunnel Road, on the Gin Gin/Mt Perry Road. The tunnel is 192 metres in length making it the longest unsupported man-made tunnel in Queensland. Its construction represented an important engineering feat for rail transport in Queensland. We will be able to drive through and return. Hopefully, there will be plenty of photo opportunities.
We will make 2 mini lunch stops at Maryborough and Gin Gin to coincide with the collection of any members from the Wide Bay group.
