Ragtops and Tintops … Sports Classics and Prestige”. Peter Johnston is a dual devotee: to the MG and Mercedes-Benz marques and is a former president of the MG Club of Queensland. He will share his passion and experience for two ends of the spectrum of driving pleasure, open top old sports cars and prestige saloons, the best of both worlds.

With a lifetime of management in the hotel industry, Peter has more than a tale to tell and in retirement, he turned his hand to writing a book, a love story with a twist … it astoundingly took himjust a little over two weeks to complete and has been snapped up by one of the UK’s leading publishers, with a sequel also now in the making!

Peter’s enthusiasm for automobiles, coupled with a diverse and demanding life in several countries and now an emerging writing career, all makes for an interesting club evening. 

Meeting held on the Gold Coast are open to all MBCQ members.
